USISF is a IRS section 501(c) (3) Foundation that educates, promotes issue awareness, and facilitates increased interaction between the foreign policy, defense, and security communities of the two great democracies, the United States and India. This is premised on the belief that practical cooperation through shared values entails sustained military and political contacts as well as accelerated defense and dual-use trade.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging issues in furtherance of greater bilateral cooperation
- Conduct policy and trade delegations from the US to India and from India to the US
- Engage the US and Indian foreign, defense, and security communities in cross-fertilization of ideas in a public forum
- Improve general public awareness, in the US and in India, of a strong and durable US-India security partnership that is critical to peace and prosperity in Asia.
